Visas
Visa is a document issued by the country, giving permission to enter its territory for a certain period of time and for certain purposes. They are usually stamped or attached to the passport of the recipient.
It is very important to understand that when entering a country without a valid visa, valid exemption or performing activities not covered by a visa (for example: working with a tourist visa), the person becomes an illegal immigrant, and is subject to deportation to his/her home country. And with the deportation and person can no longer enter the destination country or do so after a long period of time.
Short term stay of Brazilian citizens in Germany
Brazilian citizens holding valid ordinary, diplomatic, service or other official passports may enter or transit through Germany and the member countries of the European Union (except for the United Kingdom and Ireland) without a visa and stay a maximum of three months within a six-month period, if the trip has tourism or business objectives
For a stay of up to three months for each six-month period, the following entry conditions apply for a citizen of a third state:
- Present a travel document issued within the previous ten years and valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure.
- Prove the purpose and circumstances of the intended stay.
- Prove sufficient financial resources to maintain yourself during your stay.
These are considered tourist or commercial purposes:
- Tourist activities,
- visits to relatives,
- survey of commercial possibilities, participation in meetings, contract signatures and financial, managerial or administrative activities,
- participation in meetings, conferences and seminars, always when these activities are not remunerated by European Union sources (except for the direct coverage of the costs of stay or the payment of per diem),
- participation in sports or artistic competitions, always when the participants are not remunerated by European Union sources, even if it is possible to win prizes in the competition, including cash prizes
- medical treatment.
As a rule, there is no visa waiver for people who intend to work, have an employment relationship, work in research, look for a job or do an internship during a short stay.
