Tourism/Business Visa

Brazilian citizens do not need a visa for a stay of up to 90 days every 6 months in Germany or in Schengen member countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland) if the reason for travelling is:

• Tourism
• Visit to relatives;
• Survey of commercial possibilities, participation in meetings, signing of contracts and financial, managerial or administrative activities;
• Participation in meetings, conferences and seminars, always when these activities are not remunerated by European Union sources (except for direct coverage of accommodation costs or per diem payments);
• Participation in sporting or artistic competitions, whenever participants are not remunerated by European Union sources, even if it is possible to win prizes in the competition, including cash prizes;
• Medical treatment (it is necessary to have a certificate issued by a Brazilian doctor with the recommendation that the treatment in question must be carried out in the Schengen countries, confirmation of reservation of a place in a hospital or with a doctor, and proof of financing of the expenses of the medical treatment).

In these cases, even if the traveller does not need a visa, he or she must be provided with the following documents:

• A valid passport valid for more than three months;
• Round-trip ticket;
• Proof of financial resources (e.g. international credit card, traveller's cheques, foreign currency, etc);
• Health insurance with coverage of at least 30,000 Euros valid throughout the Schengen territory and in force for the entire period of your stay
